Serving Opportunities/CPR

We began our CPR (Compassionate Partners Response) team in 2010, with a group of about 20 Unity members. These folks wanted to work on projects as a team that helped out either individual Unity members in need, or a worthy group that could use our services.
Our first activity was a very successful used shoe drive for Soles4Souls. Next, we involved our church youth in bringing music and fun to a retirement center where one of our members works. Another early venture was rewarding our Volunteer of the Year with a day’s worth or yard work by about half our group. We organized food and visits for our minister when she was recuperating from an injury.
An ongoing service project has been assisting at both the weekly dinner and the twice monthly food pantry operated by Project Needs in Redondo Beach.
We are always open to more ideas of satisfying service projects, and welcome new members, their ideas and their energy!
